Pizza


INGREDIENTS

  • 1 store bought pizza dough (we like Trader Joe’s)
  • 16 oz grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1, 4 oz log plain goat cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan or pecorino romano cheese
  • 1/2 cup jarred marinara sauce (your favorite brand)
  • Optional toppings: sliced olives, roasted mushrooms and onions, diced ham, pepperoncini

DIRECTIONS

  1. Allow dough to come to room temperature for 2 hours
  2. Preheat oven to 450°F.
  3. Press bubbles out of dough then stretch onto a pizza stone or baking sheet which has been lightly oiled
  4. Sprinkle parmesan cheese on dough
  5. Evenly distribute 1 1/2 – 2 cups tomato sauce out to the edges of the 1/2 the pizza dough (I like 1/2 no sauce)
  6. Add toppings and blobs of goat cheese
  7. Cover whole pie with mozzarella cheese and rest of the grated parmesan or pecorino romano cheese
  8. Bake on the middle rack of the oven for 15-20 mins
  9. Let rest for 5 mins before cutting.
