Bhangan Bherta


  • Crushed tomatoes
  • 6-7 whole cloves
  • haldi
  • whole jeera, roasted in oil
  • corriander powder
  • jeera powder
  • garlic clove
  • cinnamon stick
  • bay leaves
  • oil
  • vidalia onion


Wash and halve bangan length wise. Grill until soft and slightly brown on cut side, soft enough to scoop out of peel with spoon.

Mash it with power stick and add to pan.

Add all ingredients to pan except onion, cook until bhangan is done, then add raw cubes of onion. Serve with phulke.
