Pizza
INGREDIENTS
- 1 store bought pizza dough (we like Trader Joe’s)
- 16 oz grated mozzarella cheese
- 1, 4 oz log plain goat cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan or pecorino romano cheese
- 1/2 cup jarred marinara sauce (your favorite brand)
- Optional toppings: sliced olives, roasted mushrooms and onions, diced ham, pepperoncini
DIRECTIONS
- Allow dough to come to room temperature for 2 hours
- Preheat oven to 450°F.
- Press bubbles out of dough then stretch onto a pizza stone or baking sheet which has been lightly oiled
- Sprinkle parmesan cheese on dough
- Evenly distribute 1 1/2 – 2 cups tomato sauce out to the edges of the 1/2 the pizza dough (I like 1/2 no sauce)
- Add toppings and blobs of goat cheese
- Cover whole pie with mozzarella cheese and rest of the grated parmesan or pecorino romano cheese
- Bake on the middle rack of the oven for 15-20 mins
- Let rest for 5 mins before cutting.
